Barcelona-native Sandro Aguilera is the new Executive Chef at Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui. Chef Sandro finished his degree at the well-established School of Culinary Arts Ferrandi Paris and served an internship at the world-famous 3 Michelin stars Restaurant, El Bulli. He perfected his craft at some of Barcelona’s finest dining venues, including Comerc 24, El Cingle, and L’Estany Clar, and through several tenures at Ritz Carlton hotels.

Chef Sandro then travelled for a year of culinary training across South America, visiting Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina. His aspiration to further expand his culinary horizons led Chef Sandro to Thailand where he took part in Thai cuisine training at Bangkok’s Suan Dusit Rajabhat University. After this studying interlude, Chef Sandro joined the Centara Grand at CentralWorld hotel in Bangkok as Chef de Cuisine before taking an Executive Chef role at the five-star Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket in 2013. He then spearheaded the kitchen at the luxury Iniala Beach Resort Phuket and subsequently joined Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui as Executive Chef.
